Automatically Trash Emails from Blocked Senders on iPhone and iPad

Do you want to delete all the emails you’re getting from the blocked senders automatically? Fortunately, if you own an iPhone or iPad, the process to do the same is easy. The Mail app enables you to delete the emails you get from blocked contacts by default.

The Mail app comes pre-installed on Apple devices and is highly preferred by people using iPhone and iPad. Blocking a contact means you won’t receive any messages or emails from that particular sender. Apple provides various ways to block others from sending junk to your inbox. Also, after the release of iOS 13 and iPad OS, users have even more options for blocking particular email senders.

Filtering blocked emails is necessary; therefore, you can do the same on your iPhone. If you’re keen to know about the instructions to do the same, read along!

Automatically Deleting Emails from Blocked Senders

It is a pretty straightforward process to delete emails from blocked senders automatically. However, make sure that your email is linked to the Mail app for the settings to work. Now, follow the steps mentioned below to do the same:

  • Open the ‘Settings’ app on your iOS device.

  • Locate the ‘Mail’ tab and click on the same.

  • A new window will open. Click on the ‘Blocked Sender Options’ option.

  • Select the ‘Move to Trash’ option under the ‘Actions’ section in the next window.

  • You can also mark the blocked sender by turning on the slider for the ‘Mark Blocked Sender’ option.

  • In case you want to check the mails from the blocked senders, open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad. Next, navigate to the ‘Trash’ section from the menu in the app.

This is it! Now that you’re familiar with the process of automatically deleting emails received from the blocked contacts, you no longer have to de-clutter the app manually. Prevent your inbox from flooding unwanted mails; however, you can view the same in the ‘Trash’ section.

If you’re receiving a lot of spam or promotional emails, unsubscribe them to stop receiving the same. Alternatively, you can mark the emails as spam and move them to the ‘Junk’ folder. On the other hand, to unmark the emails as spam, move them back to the inbox.
