The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an American media franchise centered on a series of superhero movies, independently produced by Marvel Studios. The franchise includes short films, television series, comic books, and digital series; the first DC movie released in 2008 titled Iron Man. It was also the beginning of the first phase. Ryan K. Fleck and Anna Boden are the American filmmaking duo. The couple is best known for its movies like Sugar, Half Nelson, Mississippi. It’s Kind of a Funny Story and Captain Marvel. They together made short documentaries titled Young Rebels and Have You Seen This Man? After that, they created the brilliant short film Half Nelson, which won the prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004. Scott Derrickson is an American producer, director, and screenplay writer. Some of his best creations include The Exorcism of Emily Rose in 2005, Sinister in 2012, Deliver Us from Evil in 2014, and Doctor Strange for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016. His project The Exorcism of Emily Rose was based on the actual event Anneliese Michel. The film won the Saturn Award for Best Horror or Thriller Film in 2005, and the Chicago Film Critics Association listed the movie in the Top 100 scariest Films Ever Made in 2006. The Exorcism of Emily Rose collected a gross of $144 million worldwide. Derrickson made a unique choice by directing Doctor Strange, which was not a horror genre. He built a strong sense of what the visuals of the film should be. And that played a key role for Doctor Strange’s character in the later movies.
Jon Watts
Jon Watts is an American film producer, director, and screenwriter. Some popular movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe are Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He co-wrote and directed movies like Cop Car, Clown, and directed episodic television news series Onion News Network. The film was criticized by Sam Raimi and Marc Webb about the story and the cast; they said that the characters and storyline do not feel like a high school plot. Coogler was listed on the top 30 people list in Time as the person who is changing the world at the age of under 30. His work brought limelight to the overlooked culture of black people. The film introduced an entirely new world in the Marvel Universe and created Wakanda as an essential part. Coogler became one of the most influential Black directors in the world who made incredible movies like Fruitvale Station and Creed. By making Black Panther, he tried to celebrate African culture and made sure he has his mark of the film.
James Gunn
Guardians of the Galaxy was never supposed to be a big hit. The film was made in 2014, which was based on some unique heroes considered as D-List in comic book series.
