Nest Audio Vs. Home Max: How Google’s New Speaker Compares

Google presented its newest Nest Audio smart speaker as better than the Google Home solution because of the several comparisons, such as sound quality, volume, etc. But, Google did not compare its Nest Audio with Home Max at the time of announcement. We will now re-examine the Home Max and compare it with Nest Audio.

Google Home Max was announced in the year 2017. It is the largest and most expensive of its smart speakers. It has two 4.5-inch woofers and two three-quarter-inch tweeters. The launch price of Google Home Max was USD 399, however, it has dropped down to USD 299. The weight of this device is twelve pounds. Besides, Google has introduced a system in this speaker called Smart Sound, which uses in-built microphones to listen to itself and intelligently adjust the equalization of the sound to match the surroundings of the speaker.

On the other hand, with the recently announced Nest Audio, Google primarily focused on music. This speaker has a 50-percent stronger bass as compared to the original Google Home. It can sync and pair with a second Nest Audio to create a stereo sound. Nest Audio is about a fifth of the physical volume of the Home Max. The weight of Nest Audio is two and a half pounds. It has a 3-inch woofer and a three-quarter-inch tweeter. According to the physical appearance and internal features, we can say that one Google Home Max is roughly equivalent to three Nest Audio speakers.

Three Nest Audio Versus One Google Home Max

It is quite a good option to compare one Google Home Max with three Google Nest Audio speakers. It would allow more flexibility and the ability to use one or two Nest Audio speakers, and we can add more if the need arises. As we know that Google Nest Audio is more portable as compared to Home Max, so it can be rearranged within moments, and this would not be possible in the case of Google Home Max.

On the other hand, Google Home Max has other amazing advantages, such as its size. It is physically larger with larger woofers, which allow more bass resonance and volume. Also, Google Nest Audio does not have the Smart Sound feature, but Home Max does.

After exploring details and comparing Google Nest Audio with Google Home Max, we have concluded that for most of the people, Google Nest Audio is a much better option as compared to Home Max because it is cost-efficient and more portable. But for those people who are music enthusiasts and want the thump of a stronger bass, undoubtedly Google Home Max is the better smart speaker for them.
