Will Samsung Introduce its Own MagSafe in 2021 After Apple?

For all those unfamiliar with the term ‘MagSafe,’ it is a magnetically attached wireless charger. You might have noticed that Apple recently released two MagSafe-compatible chargers for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Talking about the Android smartphone market, a few innovations were introduced in 2020, majorly by Samsung. It launched not only Galaxy Z Flip but also Galaxy Z Fold 2. Notably, the Fold 2 seemed like a different device than its first-generation model. While the technology is at its best, there’s still something missing from the Android side.

Apple re-introduced the MagSafe branding; however, not in the same manner as expected by many. It has introduced the new MagSafe wireless charger and MagSafe Duo as a substitute to AirPower, but this isn’t it.

The introduction of Apple’s new MagSafe has paved the way for some incredible accessories. Apple didn’t give any third-party makers the chance to come up with something. Instead, it came forward with its own. Some of the cool MagSafe accessories include the MagSafe Wallet, the Belkin MagSafe Car Charger, and much more.

Samsung completely shifted its focus to introducing software features and next-generation hardware. However, it could have invested its time in working and bringing up something new. Though the company already offers fast wireless chargers and wireless charging accessories, MagSafe is nothing like them.

The idea of putting your iPhone on the MagSafe charger in a single try has been great. You don’t have to worry about accurately placing the phone at just the right angle so that it starts charging. Additionally, a three-card wallet is another improvement that you can look forward to adapting.

What are the Alternatives?

If you’re looking forward to ordering the new Mobile by Peak Design system, there are a few limitations that’ll come along. For instance, if you need a case for your phone, it doesn’t come with any. Furthermore, it enables you to use the Universal Adapter to connect with your accessories, but transferring it from one device to another isn’t easy.

You must be aware that Galaxy S21 is on edge to be announced, and looking at the same, it seems pretty late for the company to introduce a MagSafe. However, there are still hopes from the company to introduce something unique.

If the big question of why only Samsung is expected to introduce a MagSafe is popping in your mind, the answer to the same is its market share in the Android world. Samsung is capable of introducing such a device and making it different from its own element.

What Can You Expect from Samsung?

Apart from MagSafe, Samsung has a wide range when it comes to providing chargers and charging methods. According to a few rumors, the company is likely to remove the charging brick with the new Galaxy S21. On the other hand, the phone is also rumored to bring along an S pen support.

Additionally, many users are expecting the company to create and bring something like ASUS PadFone X, which is a tablet turned from a smartphone. The device originally came into existence in 2014 and proved to be productive for many people. Isn’t it amazing that instead of buying two different devices- a tablet and a phone, you can get one as a combination?

However, there’s no telling what Samsung would do with the look if it introduced a device like that, but it would be amazing if it opts for the design same as Galaxy Tab S7 or S7 Plus. The regular interface and combining Samsung’s One UI with DeX Desktop Mode will be the cherry on the cake. It is also a better design than the PadFone X because of its sleek profile. Additionally, including an S Pen, the same as including a stylus with the Galaxy tabs, will be another win.

There is a lot on the bucket list for Samsung to check. The company is expected to bring something that changes our perspective about technology and blow our minds. So, are you prepared to know what Samsung has got to serve you in 2021?
